POINT O WOODS

Point O Woods Beach Association is a peaceful neighborhood in the Town of OLD LYME CT. The association was developed in the 1930's and is nestled between Four Mile River and the Hatchett Nature Preserve. Drive under the cornerstone train bridge to be greeted by friendly security staff. The community offers three private beaches, all of which are in walking distance. The cottages rest among tall trees giving shade and creating a peaceful view from the shoreline. The main beach offers a large boardwalk and pavilion. The ocean waters remain warm and calm as the Atlantic Ocean meets the mouth of the Long Island Sound. A short twenty-minute boat ride brings you to the star studded Hamtons of NY.  Point O' Woods is an ideal place for families boasting a tennis, and pickleball court, modern playground, full basketball court, boat launch, marina, scenic overlooks, and wooded trails. The association organizes beach bingo, movies, and live music. The ice-cream truck parks at the beach all day or take a short walk to the market and try Ashley's homemade Ice Cream. All of which is located less than 300 yards away from the SUMMERS PLACE cottage!
